Lisa M. Nicholson, born January 23, 1971 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, died peacefully in her home in Des Plaines, Illinois, on April 18, 2021 due to breast cancer. Teresa is survived by her husband, Nick; daughters: Teri Pearson, Kathi (Dan) Tromblay and Sharon (Alex) Zain; grandchildren: Nick, Kristin, and Margaret Pearson; Erica (Paul) DeLuca, Ben and Dylan Tromblay; Nathaniel and Andrew Zain, great grandchildren: Sophia and Scarlett DeLuca, sisters: Angeline (late John) Napalowski and Joan (John) Cox, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Raymond “Chub” R. Decker, 94 of Streator passed away Thursday October 14, 2021 at Heritage Health, Streator.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:30 until 11 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM at the church. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Raymond was born on February 19, 1927 in Streator to Raymond and Eva (Sauers) Decker. He married Geralaine “Toots” Cunningham on May 20, 1961. She preceded him in death on March 8, 2018.
Surviving are sons, Gregory (Bunny) Fisher of Davis, IL and David (Brenda) Decker of Streator, 3 grandchildren, Christy and Jacob Fisher and Lindsay (Jason) Tincher, great-grandchildren; Aidan Vargochik, Sylas and Dash Fisher, Clayton Englert and Chase Hamara and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Toots, brothers Donald and Fred, sisters, Maxine Hirtz, Mary Liptak and Karen Adamchak.
Raymond attended St. Mary’s Grade School and Streator High School. He served in the US Navy from 1946 until 1951. Raymond retired from the Streator Police department in 1981. He enjoyed golfing, swimming, bike riding, running and spending the winter in Las Vegas. Raymond was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church.
